Utah Winter

After Christmas it was back to work and wedding planning!  What a fun/majorly stressful thing to plan.  My Pinterest boards doubled in size and Alec's aunts took me to bridal fairs.

Ice skating with cousins!

 Dyed Susie's hair purple.

And went to a luau in the freezing winter.  That's normal, right?

Christmas in Michigan

Alec came home with me to Michigan for the most wonderful time of the year.  We watched lots of movies and played in lots of snow.  We discovered the best brand of hummus and ate lots of candy.

My dad took our picture against a wall at church.  Not bad!

This is the wedding chapel in Hell, Michigan.  The wreath looks kinda cute from far away but don't be fooled- it's really tacky.

Cooper is One

We went to Salt Lake for a very important party- Cooper's first birthday!  No expense spared- we got the big room at Grandma and Grandpa's, basketball cupcakes, and the coolest toys he didn't know about.

Baby Bryant... a leftie?

And Jake liked the bubbles.  Good call on getting the two gallon bottle.

Pumpkin Carving

The Saturday before Halloween we drove to a few places claiming to be a pumpkin patch, but no, there were none to be found.  So we got some at the grocery store, then found the closest thing to a pumpkin patch a few days later.

This place had a sandbox with corn!

And a petting zoo.  With 3 animals.

Colorado Halloween

Alec got a new car and we had to get it registered and do an emissions test in Colorado.  So why not make a trip out of it?  We had so much fun- like every time we go.  This weekend there was a Halloween party!  We also saw Gravity, ate Tokyo Joe's, shopped for Broncos gear, and went to two high school football games.

As a last minute costume, Alec and I decided to dress as old people.  He stuffed a pillow in his shirt and got white hair and I wore his mom's dress that she wore in her engagement pictures!  How awesome is that?  Add some glasses and-  instant costume.

Vamp Doughnuts

Cannon!

Alec & Cannon.

Caitlin and Courtney getting Alec ready.

Here's the kicker- His dad dressed up as a "Metro Boy Scout" (complete with heels), and Bev was a hair/make up mannequin.  So hilar.

And then we met Nacho.

Happy Halloween!

365 Days

It has been one year since Alec and I had the conversation that changed our paths forever.  It's so funny to think of all the things we know now (a "vacation beard" is a real thing?)  and how different-but-the-same we were back then.  How I longed for a picture of us together, how waiting from Sunday to Friday for a date was so long that it was going to kill me.  So he gave me the best present he could- Cafe Rio for our anniversary.  Here's to many more!
