Ripple's!

When family comes into town, it's tradish that we go to Ripple's.  It's a one and only drive in that was in the movie Midway to Heaven.  And when it's summer, it's tradish that we eat LOTS of shaved ice!

Kelsey, Bu and I see this place on the way to where Kels works.  It's kinda cute but really trashy.  It's on the corner of an intersection and there's supposed to be a little grass shack feel so they put in a sandbox.  Not exactly Central Park.  But points for trying.

They did have cool palm trees that spray mist and tan tarps strung between the "trees".  But the shaved ice was really good!

Musée Coleman

The Museum that is the Coleman's house is amazing!  They invited us to walk two houses down from Bu's house to see his workship.  He's been all over the world and has some incred stories.  But I like pictures more than words so here it goes!

Yeah, that's a real mummy behind me.

Proof I touched an elephant foot!

FLAMING GORGE

With Aunt Groupon (Aunt Marcelle), we scored a trip to Vernal, UT to go rafting. It was so much fun to drive through Provo Canyon, past the Pinnacles where we had a reunion, past red rocks and into the Flaming Gorge.

See the carvings in the dark part of the rock?  COOL!
There are dinosaur fossils in all these rocks!

On our drive back, Meg and I decided to stop wherever we wanted and just take our time getting home.  We saw a store on the side of the road in Ft. Duchesne called Gypsy Mama.  You better believe I pulled over!

If my mom had a store it would be just like this.  Eclectic, colorful, cool, and full of funky junk.

Anyone who knows my delightful mother knows this tumbleweed "chandelier" would fit right in with her style and interior design.  I love her so much, I used to laugh at her but now I see myself turning right into her :)
